BATO BEACH
If you want to lounge in water or just to relax THE LAOAG RIVER can be place to hang out, its a 10 to 15minute ride from Laog City Proper, but it is suggested you bring your own car and a guide maybe! ADMIN can be your guide! HE HE HE. Anyways, don exect much, this is the hang out place of tight budget people. HE HE HE. You need to pay Php200.00 for the Nipa huts, and mind you the Nipa huts are situated in the river bed itself, the water is usually KNEE DEEP. Its cool to go there late in the afternoon. You can bring your own food too. You can also use karaoke machines if you have the swimming prowess! ha ha ha. The only hassle here sometimes, are the other guests, who sings with all their heart (pero sintonado naman) ha ha ha. But you see, thats Filipino culture, we Filipinos love to sing kahit sintunado! cge lang. The Laoag river, is also knwon as bato Beach, the water that runs here are water from the mountains, then flows from sarrat river to laoag river.
But if you want to see the White Beach! pagudpud is the place to be! Pristine waters are seen, thru the white sanded beach shorelines of Pagudpud!
If your in Laoag, dont foget to try our
1. Chicharon/bagnet
2. Longanisa
3. Empanada
4. Pinakbet/Dinengdeng
5. Cornick
And also dont forget to go and see THE WORLD RENOWN - PAOAY CHURCH! and in front of it are souvenir sellers, check out their hand crafted bags, its very nice, the last time i went, they were selling 3pcs for Php100.00
Do you plan to come by land or by plane? we have daily trips for both type of transportation.
Bus would take you 8 to 9 hours from Manila to laoag at Php500 to Php800 one way depending on the Bus.
Plane, less than an hour thru cebu Pacfic or Pal around Php1,500.00 one way.
I have a frined in San Nicolas i can book you romms ther, but no sure if how much is the cost of stayong there.... will have to ask if you are interested...
Till here. for any inquiries, post mo lang ulit! he he he

There's a lot of which Ilocos can offer. We have the Marcos Museum in Batac, the Malacanang of the North in Paoay. Along the way, you can pass the legendary Paoay Lake. Fort Ilocandia Resort Hotel. You can have your stay at Pagudpud either in hotels or Homestays (less cost). But before reaching Pagudpud, we have the Lighthouse at Burgos, Windmills of Bangui, Pagudpud Viaduct.
You can post here for more information.
